Harvest Fishing – Nintendo DS

Hurray! Another Harvest Moon… but not!

This one sucks! Big time!

The story is about a boy and his sister out in the middle of nowhere. One morning when the boy goes to wake his sister and she doesn’t wake up. Apparently the forest made the girl sick and the only cure is for her brother to go fishing.

The controls are kinda meh and the gameplay itself is pretty boring. There is a collection aspect to the game to hold some interest but over all it just gets boring. The art style is that of most of the Harvest Moon games recently, with bunch of chibi characters. They also introduce a pet monster in this game that you grow by feeding fish. As your pet grows it will gain abilities to help you out.

I guess this game would be alright for small children, the controls are simple enough and every thing is “child friendly” but overall meh.
